  • New Zealand Premium Grass-Fed Super Lean Beef Mince
  • Olive oil
  • Bacon
  • Diced carrot
  • Diced celery
  • Minced onion
  • Dry red or white wine
  • Heavy cream
  • Chopped anchovy filets
  • Fresh thyme and rosemary
  • Bay leaf
  • Crushed red pepper flakes
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Crushed tomatoes


  1. Put bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat, stir until lightly crispy, and some grease in the skillet.
  2. Add in the carrot, onion, celery to the skillet, stir and sauté for about 8 minutes until softened.
  3. Add in garlic, anchovy filets, red pepper flakes, stir and sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add in beef mince, stir, and break up until completely browned.
  5. Add in wine, tomatoes, thyme, bay leaf, and stir.
  6. Reduce to low heat, cover lid, and cook for 2 hours.
  7. Add in the heavy cream and stir, then season with salt and pepper. Serve with pasta and garnish with Parmesan cheese.
