Ingredients:
- New Zealand Premium Grass-Fed Super Lean Beef Mince
- Olive oil
- Bacon
- Diced carrot
- Diced celery
- Minced onion
- Dry red or white wine
- Heavy cream
- Chopped anchovy filets
- Fresh thyme and rosemary
- Bay leaf
- Crushed red pepper flakes
- Parmesan cheese
- Crushed tomatoes
Steps:
- Put bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat, stir until lightly crispy, and some grease in the skillet.
- Add in the carrot, onion, celery to the skillet, stir and sauté for about 8 minutes until softened.
- Add in garlic, anchovy filets, red pepper flakes, stir and sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add in beef mince, stir, and break up until completely browned.
- Add in wine, tomatoes, thyme, bay leaf, and stir.
- Reduce to low heat, cover lid, and cook for 2 hours.
- Add in the heavy cream and stir, then season with salt and pepper. Serve with pasta and garnish with Parmesan cheese.
