Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops, 1 inch thick
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through. Remove the pork chops from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the chopped onion and cook until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the chopped apples, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, mustard seeds, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and the sauce has thickened, about 10-12 minutes.
