Defrosting Meat Guide

We often get enquiries of how to thaw our meat products, so here is the easy guide for defrosting meat :)

Method 1: Thaw Overnight (Plan Ahead)
Plan ahead - Always the BEST way. Defrost it overnight with our package in the refrigerator, normally you are ready to cook by the next day. If it is a large portion (ie. 2 kg above), it will take 2-3 days to defrost in the refrigerator.

Method 2: Thaw Quickly (Oops Urgent!)
The fastest way to thaw safety - The cold water method, place the meat with our sealed package in a large bowl or in the sink and fill with tap water. Change the water every 20-30 minutes, usually a single piece of steak can thaw in 20 minutes or less. 

Things to avoid:
- Do not keep meat at room temperature for more than 2 hours
- Do not refreeze thawed meats
- Do not try to defrost in microwave as it is hard to control
